Earth Day 2023
For every box of laundry strips, every pack of plastic-free dishwasher tablets, and every bag of oxygen bleach sold, Washo plants a tree.
So far, we have been able to plant over half a million trees. This corresponds to an area of over 200 hectares (more than 280 soccer fields). In doing so, we offset over 20,000 tons of CO2 and make an important contribution to climate protection and biodiversity.
On Earth Day, we planted an additional 4,000 trees near the Albis Pass in the canton of Zurich.
Cornel Aschwanden, a forest ranger from Schwyz, is responsible for the reforestation. He is our contact person for all Washo forest projects. Cornel is a passionate forest ranger and runs his own tree nursery.
Our founder Lukas was also there. As a family man, the future of our planet is naturally very close to his heart.
A professional forestry team was at work for most of the tasks. They put in a huge effort over several days. Thank you very much!
