1. August: let's take care of Switzerland
We are not only celebrating Switzerland's birthday—we are also celebrating our nature and our community.
What Washo does for Switzerland:
As a Swiss SME, we take responsibility. Not just with words—but with actions: Click on each link for more information about our commitment!
🌳 Trees for Switzerland
Together with Schwyz forest ranger Cornel Aschwanden, we are reforesting Swiss forests with so-called "future trees" that can withstand climate change.
👉Local value creation
The entire Washo team works in Central Switzerland. Your package comes directly from Entlebuch, lovingly packed in the Swiss shipping center and delivered in a climate-friendly manner by Swiss Post.
🌳 Romandy & Valais apricot kernel oil
We are particularly proud of our Washo Care Swiss Edition with Valais apricot kernel oil – made in Romandy.
🇨🇭 Swiss craftsmanship
Where possible, we work with local manufacturers. The Washo measuring spoon is made by Walter Nef and his team in Bauma, Canton of Zurich, and the Washo dishwashing brush by Edi Baur in Fehraltdorf – both made from Swiss wood, of course!
🧑🦽 Zuwebe (Zug workshop for people with disabilities)
We have a long-standing partnership with Zuwebe in the region. You have probably already received a free sample from Washo – manufactured, like other Washo products, in Hünenberg, Canton of Zug.
❤️ Donations in Switzerland
Washo has donated over CHF 260,000 (here is the link to all donations). Among the recipients are many Swiss charities such as the Gassenküche Luzern soup kitchen, Pastor Sieber's Pfuusbus, and the Bündner Bergwaldprojekt mountain forest project.
🌍Washo products are environmentally friendly
Washo products are biodegradable and free of microplastics: so that nature can continue to breathe tomorrow!
🚫 No corporation. No chemical multinational!
Washo is an owner-managed Swiss SME, independent and value-based. We are not just any brand – we are there for you personally. We ourselves are part of the Washo family.
Thank you for joining us in making Switzerland, nature – and a little bit of the world – cleaner.
