During Advent, we say thank you and donate CHF 500 every day to a selected non-profit organization.
We are a member of "1% for the Planet" and donate at least 1% of our turnover. To date , overCHF 300,000 has been donated to social and sustainable projects (see overview). .You can find a specific example of a project visit this summer here.

Donation from Monday, . December1.
Glückspilz Association, Alpnach
Today's Advent donation goes to the Glückspilz charity in Alpnach . . The association supports people who have not been as fortunate in life as we have. The association organizes a variety of leisure and vacation activities for people with disabilities in Switzerland. All members of the association are volunteers, and all funds go directly to those affected.

Forest Focus, Tanzania
This summer, as the founder of Washo, I visited Tanzania with my family and our partner organization Forest Focus. You can find the report here .
In the remote villages around Korogwe, we met families who struggle every day to get the basics – food, clean water, a roof over their heads.
With today's donation of CHF 500,Washo is supporting the provision of food, hygiene items, and the construction of latrines and water points.
This creates more dignity and security – especially for children who would otherwise often spend the whole day fetching water.

For over 30 years , the Sternschnuppe Children's Aid Foundation has been bringing joy and variety to the lives of children and young people living with illness or disability.
It fulfills the child's deepest heart's desire and gives the whole family a variety of excursions and carefree leisure activities.

Theodora Foundation
We are delighted to support charitable projects recommended by our community.
"Laughter and dreams for our children in hospital"
Every week, the Theodora Foundation organizes and finances visits by professional artists – the dream doctors – to hospitals and specialist institutions.
During each visit, the Dream Doctors open a window to imagination for the young patients by spontaneously responding to their individual needs.

E4Y (Education for Youth
The E4Y Support Association supports former teachers, students, and their families in connection with the E4Y (Education for Youth) program in Yangon, Myanmar.
The current situation in Myanmar—marked by a military coup and a devastating earthquake—is catastrophic. Normal life is virtually impossible for the population: work, school, and everyday activities are severely restricted or even impossible.
To give hope and provide direct assistance in this difficult situation, we have founded the E4Y Support association. Our financial support is intended to enable those affected to maintain a degree of normality and continue the E4Y education program.
The impressive film"E4Y – My Way" offers a moving insight into the everyday life of an E4Y student.

Le Caré
Thecharity for today's CHF 500 Advent donation was recommended by the Washo community.
CARÉ is an emergency day center in Geneva. It helps people with material and emotional difficulties in emergency situations.
It creates a space for exchange and encounter, and a team of volunteers takes care of a wide range of basic needs. The name CARÉ is derived from "Caritas - Welcome - Meeting - Exchange."

KYMA sea conservation &research
Today's Advent donation goes to the Swiss marine conservation organization KYMA sea conservation& research . . KYMA is committed to protecting marine animals and their habitat through a research project in the Mediterranean Sea. The association also initiates protective measures by launching campaigns and carrying out educational and awareness-raising work.
KYMA highlights ecological interrelationships and networks and communicates consumer attitudes and values in order to firmly anchor the protection of the oceans on land.

Many children in Tanzania have to walk long distances to school—often barefoot and hungry. Some give up because their parents cannot afford school fees or uniforms.
Our donation today will provide school supplies, bicycles , and school fees – so that children can learn, dream, and build a future.
Education changes lives and enables children and young people to build independent and self-determined lives later on.

Procap Central Switzerland
Procap Central Switzerland is a self-help organization for people with disabilities that aims to enable them to live independently.
This includes providing support and advice on social insurance and organizing inclusive events.
Procap Central Switzerland fights for an inclusive society. No ifs, ands, or buts.

MAF Switzerland
MAF flies to places that others cannot reach for logistical reasons—over deserts, jungles, and rough terrain.
With a fleet of around 120 small aircraft, MAF reaches over 1,000 destinations in hard-to-reach regions of the world. MAF enables over 1,400 aid organizations to provide people with access to clean water, food, medical care, and education.

Incontro Association
The Incontro Association is active in outreach work in Zurich's Langstrasse district. Its motto is to treat people as equals and support them. This ranges from conversations and companionship to delivering meals and food parcels, as well as providing support with further education and courses.

Animal Welfare Helpers
The non-profit association for today's CHF 500 Advent donation was recommended by the Washo Community.
The Swiss association Tierschutz Helfer is wholeheartedly committed to protecting animals and raising awareness of biodiversity in Switzerland. In addition to supporting animal sanctuaries and rescue centers, the association also promotes projects to educate and raise awareness about the protection of natural diversity.

Children's aid organization Camaquito, Zurich
Camaquitowww.camaquito.org has been supporting children, young people, and their families in Cuba with various projects for almost 25 years. Among other things, we are committed to integrating people with disabilities into the world of work and organize training courses or advise and support Cuban companies that want to train and employ people with disabilities.

Mountain Forest Project, Trin GR
The Mountain Forest Project is a non-profit organization based in Trin GR that has been working since 1979 to care for and preserve mountain forests and cultural landscapes in mountainous areas.
Through volunteer work, it promotes the sustainable protection of mountain forests and their diverse services. Participants experience the forest up close and learn about the ecological and climatic interrelationships of this sensitive ecosystem on site.
The organization also raises public awareness of the importance of mountain forests.

Street outreach Lucerne
The non-profit association for today's CHF 500 Advent donation was recommended by the Washo Community.
"So that people from the streets don't end up on the streets." . With this mission , the association helps church street outreach Lucerne to support people affected by addiction and poverty in Central Switzerland. In Lucerne , the organization is also known for running the GasseChuchi , thereby fulfilling an important social role.

The people behind Forest Focus also do tremendous work – often under the most basic conditions. Many documents and projects still have to be managed by hand.
Today's donation will help with the purchase and maintenance of infrastructure so that the team can work faster and more efficiently.
This will enable them to reach even more families – and ensure that every bit of help goes exactly where it is needed.

Quy Nhon Social Farm – Central Vietnam
Today's Advent donation goes to the Quy Nhon Social Farm – a project that is truly close to our hearts – in Central Vietnam.
Here, Ms. Nga Nguyen and her small team not only provide disadvantaged and disabled children and young people with accommodation and care, but also education, joy, and a future.
The current focus is on new areas of learning: environmentally friendly irrigation, sensible recycling/composting, and music lessons. This gives the children and young people self-confidence and allows them to experience community.
Step by step, a small guest area is also being created. This is help for self-help: in the future, this area will provide financial support for the farm. It is a big dream that is slowly taking shape thanks to many donations.

Baar Scouts
The Scouts in Switzerland have over 50,000 members. Today's Advent donation goes to the local Scouts in Baar, Canton Zug—the home of Washo.
Active in all weather conditions since 1956, the Baar Scouts now have around 300 active members. It offers many unforgettable moments for children from kindergarten age onwards. It creates spaces where children can let off steam. The children get out into the great outdoors, learn lots of new things and make friendships that last a lifetime. Children and young people learn to take responsibility, whether it's reading maps, making fires or, later on, organizing their own activities.
The summer camps for Scouts and Cub Scouts are the highlight of the year. In the summer of 2026, the Baar Scout Troop will organize a camp in England as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations. This is an absolute highlight for many children.

Sourirs pour le Togo, Tägerwilen
Today's donation goes to the non-profit association "Des sourires pour le Togo." . This young association from eastern Switzerland is committed to helping children in Togo and implements projects in the areas of education, water supply, and health.
All association members are volunteers and 100% of donations go where the money is really needed.

Huusglön Support Association
The Huusglön visit people whose everyday lives are particularly challenging. Working in pairs, they give their counterparts the opportunity to change their perspective for a moment.
With empathetic improvisations, the Huusglön make contact and enable moments of laughter, amazement, and lightheartedness. They are aware that they are entering the private sphere of the people they visit. In addition to spontaneity and humorous interaction, mindfulness, sensitivity, and respect are therefore also part of their repertoire. The home visits are free of charge for the people.

Climate change and drought are making life difficult for farmers around Korogwe. Many fields are barren and harvests are unpredictable.
Forest Focus helps familiesplant agroforestry and fruit trees– mango, cashew, avocado. These provide food, shade, and income.
Our donation of CHF 500 today is helping new hope to grow – in the truest sense of the word.

Shukrani Children's Aid Tanzania
After a long trip to Africa, including volunteer work in Tanzania, Alexandra returned to Switzerland. Her perspective on everyday situations had completely changed, and her awareness of the luxury and abundance of our Western European life was stronger than ever before.
This motivated you to found the Swiss Association for Children's Aid in Tanzania.
A wonderful cause that Washo is very happy to support.
